Drone attack | Turkish airstrikes on military position in Al-Hasakah countryside injure two members of Tel Tamr Military Council

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported that two members of the SDF-backed Tel Tamr Military Council Forces were injured in strikes by a Turkish drone on a military post in the area of “Mahattat Al-Abqar” which hosts a Russian military base.

Meanwhile, cautious calm is prevailing in the region after bombardment by Turkish ground forces on Tel Shenan village following that drone attack.

Observatory sources reported earlier today that a Turkish drone targeted “Mahattat Al-Abqar” area in north-west Tel Tamr countryside in Al-Hasakah province, where Russian and SDF-backed Tel Tamr Military Council forces are deployed, injuring several members of Tel Tamr Council forces.

After this attack, Turkish forces fired rockets and artillery shells on the vicinity of “Mahattat Al-Abqar” area.

This comes in light of the significant escalation of aerial operations by Turkish drones.

Since early February, SOHR activists have documented seven attacks which targeted vehicles and positions in SDF-held areas in Aleppo and Al-Hasakah, killing eight people, including two children and a female fighter, and injuring 13 others.
