On February 17, SOHR sources reported that members of a patrol of the military police arrested two displaced civilians from Idlib city and Hama on February 15 for “involving in smuggling operations.”

Meanwhile, members of the political security services stationed at a checkpoint in Kayla village in Bolbol district had arrested a civilian on February 12 for “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration”, where they asked for ransom in return for his release.

On the other hand, reliable sources had told SOHR that the military courthouse in Afrin city released four detainees, after each of them had paid a ransom of 4,000 to 6,000 TL. The four people had been arrested for various charges.
