Second time in February | Regime military checkpoint blocks U.S patrol in Al-Hassakah

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that members of regime military checkpoint have intercepted four U.S vehicles among a military patrol in Al-Majebra village in the eastern countryside of Al-Hasakah, stopping the convoy from passing and forcing the vehicles to change route and head in different direction.

This is the second incident of its kind since February.

On February 16, SOHR activists monitored a vigil held by regime loyalists in Al-Hasakah city which is controlled by regime forces, to condemn US presence in Syria and protest against Autonomous-Administration and the SDF for “depriving students of their right to education”, in the protestor’s words.
The protestors held the vigil, which was called by the “Committee on the logic of the Syrian Communist Party on the island”, in front of Al-Qasr Al-Adly building in the regime-controlled security square area in Al-Hasakah city.
While on February 13, SOHR activists reported that residents of Tel Zahab village in Al-Hasakah countryside had blocked a U.S. convoy in the vicinity of the village, forcing it to change the route. The convoy comprised several armoured vehicles.
