Asking for ransoms | Military Police arrest more residents in Afrin

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that members of a Military Police patrol have arrested a civilian from Arab Oshaghi village in Ma’batly district on charge of “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration.”

In this context, Muhammed Al-Fateh faction arrested a civilian from Arab Oshaghi on February 25, on charge of “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration”, after he refused to transfer water to Muhammed Al-Fateh faction for free.

On the other hand, the military court of Afrin released three civilians from Shakatka, Kharab Shiran and Kafr Shil villages after their families paid 3,000 Turkish Liras for each of them as ransoms. The civilians had been arrested on charge of “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration.”

Earlier today, SOHR reliable sources reported that a patrol of the “Military Police” arrested, Yesterday, a woman from Kolian village in Bulbul district in Afrin countryside when she was attempting to enter Turkey via smugglers of “Al-Sahm Corps.”
Meanwhile, “Military Police” patrol, on February 25, arrested one person from Ba’andaly village in Rajo neighbourhood, on charges of posting a statement on the “Facebook” which was considered by the factions as “humiliation”. On February 23, the “Military Police” has arrested one person from Kawkabh village in Jandaris district from his place of residence in Afrin on charges of communicating with the “Autonomous Administration” during its rule for Afrin.
On the other hand, SOHR sources reported that the military court in Afrin, released a woman from Kimar village on February 24 who was arrested over charges of dealing with the “Autonomous Administration”. She was tortured in “bad reputation” Ma’ratah prison which caused her miscarriage due to the physical and psychological torture.
According to the SOHR, the Military Police handed the aborted six-month baby to the mother’s relatives and the body was buried in Kimar village. It is worth noting that the lady was arrested on September 2021 on charges of dealing with the “Autonomous Administration.”
Yesterday, the “Military Police” released a person from Jandaris neighbourhood after paying ransom. He was arrested on January 1, on charges of communicating with “the Autonomous Administration.”
