Fearing child recruitment by “Al-Shabiba Al-Thawriyah” | Parents keeping children off school in Darbasiya countryside

SOHR sources have reported that “Al-Shabiba Al-Thawriyah” has written its telephone numbers on school walls in villages in the Derbasiya border town in the northern countryside of Al-Hasakah, with the aim of attracting minors to its ranks.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, “Al-Shabiba Al-Thawriyah” has written telephone numbers for its members with phrases in Kurdish read “If you had problems with your parents communicate with us, we provide support” in order to attract the children.
These phrases have caused fear among many parents of sending their children to schools in Derbasiya countryside.

Meanwhile, “Al-Shabiba Al-Thawriyah” continues luring minors and driving them to its military camps, blatantly violating all human rights identified by international charters which the Autonomous Administration and Syria Democratic Forces, the holders of power in this region, have signed. Moreover, the frequent appeals by residents to stop exploiting and recruiting children by “Al-Shabiba Al-Thawriyah” remained unheeded.
