After his release from Al-Hamza prisons | Unidentified gunmen assassinate Iraqi refugee in Ras Al-Ain

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen riding a motorbike have shot an Iraqi refuge in Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kanye) city in “Peace Spring” areas in Al-Hasakah countryside, killing him immediately before fleeing to an unknown destination.

According to SOHR reliable sources, the refuge was imprisoned for over seven months in the prisons of the Turkish-backed Al-Hamza Division for charges of “Collaborating with ISIS”. He was killed right after exiting the prison.

On February 9, SOHR sources reported dispute among factions of the Turkish-backed “National Army”, which evolved to clashes with light and medium weapons in Ras Al-Ain city “Sere Kaniye” in “Peace Spring” area.

It is worth noting that the dispute flared up between the military police and groups of Al-Hamza Division on one hand, and members of Ahrar Al-Sharqiyah and Sultan Murad on the other following disagreements over revenue-sharing of smuggled drugs. Meanwhile, tension is growing in the city, while militiamen of both sides are on high alert.
