Arbitrary arrests | Ankara-backed National Army’s factions arrest civilians, including man and his wife, in Afrin

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that members of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamyiah” faction have arrested a civilian from Kafarjah village in Sharan district at Al-Shatt checkpoint while he was en route to Azaz city and has taken him to an unknown destination for unknown reasons.

On March 4, members of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamyiah”arrested a man from Aleppo in Afrin for “filming military headquarters” near Azadi Square in central Afrin, where they severely beat him in front of bystanders and his family members.

Moreover, members of military police stationed in a checkpoint at the entrance to Afrin from Raju side arrested a man and his wife who are from Musako village in Raju district on charges of “dealing with SDF. The man and his wife were taken to the military police station in Afrin.
