Security chaos in regime-held areas | Child stabbed to death by his friends and young man shot by unknown persons in Rif Dimashq

Chaos and insecurity prevail and continue across Syria, and in areas controlled by the Syrian regime in particular.

On March 10, a 14-year-old boy was stabbed with a sharp object by his friends after leaving his school in Madaya town, near Syria-Lebanon border in Rif Dimashq.

On March 11, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a car of a commander of the “Fourth Division,” that headed by the brother of the Syrian regime’s president, Maher Al-Assad, in Al-Husseinieh town in Wadi Barada area in Rif Dimashq, killing another person who was inside the leader’s car. This victim was a former member of the opposition factions who had struck a “Reconciliation deal” following the regime’s control of the area in 2017 and had not joined any military ranks.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the commander was not in his car at the moment the vehicle was shot at.

On March 11, Reliable SOHR sources reported that residents in Qadsya city in Rif Dimashq had found a young man dead inside his house in the same area. The residents found marks of stabs from a sharp tool in the young man’s heart. The victim is from Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye) and was detained for three years in “Saydnayah prison”, the “human slaughterhouse.” The identity of the perpetrator was not identified yet.

It is worth noting that areas across Syria see a state of chaos and unstable security.
