SOHR: More than 40,000 Syrian fighters registered
But so far no one has left the country
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that more than 40,000 Syrian fighters have registered to go to Ukraine to fight alongside the Russians, SOHR said in a statement.
The director of SOHR, Rami Abdel Rahman, said that Syrian fighters were enrolled with the promise of money and “privileges.” However, so far no one has left Syria to fight in Ukraine, Rahman noted.
