SOHR activists have reported that residents found a body of a young man who died under torture by Turkish border guards “Jandarma” in Derbasiyah countryside, north of Al-Hasakah in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The young man was severely tortured after crossing the border towards Turkey a few days ago.

This comes nearly 12 hours after Turkish border guards “Jandarma” dumped the body of a young man in Syrian territory in the northern countryside of Al-Hasakah after dying under torture.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that members of the Turkish Jandarma dumped the body of a young man inside Syrian territory in the northern countryside of Al-Hasakah, after they caught him trying to sneak into Turkey.

According to SOHR reliable sources, the young man died under torture and brutal beating by members of the Jandarma, before his body was thrown inside Syrian territory in Al-Dirbasiyah countryside northwestern of Al-Hasakah.

Moreover, members of the Jandarma prevented civilians from coming near to the site of the body near the borders and opened fire on anyone trying to pull his body.

Accordingly, the number of civilians who have been killed by Turkish Border Guards (Jandarma) in several areas near and on Syria-Turkey border since early 2022 has risen to eight, including two children, while 13 other civilians were injured including three children.
