Over earlier retaliation | Civilian shot dead in rural Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Syrian Observatory sources have documented the death of a civilian, after being shot by an armed man in Al-Kishkiyah town in Deir Ezzor countryside over an earlier retaliation between the victim’s family and the family of the attacker.

On March 3, SOHR sources reported that cousins from two families of Al-Handy tribe involved in armed feud in Al-Bahrah town that is under the control of Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) in east Deir Ezzor countryside, which led to the death of a young man and a woman. It is worth noting that the town witnessed tensions between members of the two families due to that infighting.

On March 1, SOHR activists documented the injury of four tribesmen in armed clashes between cousins of Al-Mahasin tribe in Sarab village in Al-Shadadi countryside in Al-Hasakah province. The injured people were transferred to Al-Hasakah and Al-Shadadi’s hospitals, amid tension in the area.

This came in light of an old dispute between Fakhz Al-Farg tribe and Al-Mae’ad tribe.

It is worth noting that the Internal Security Forces intervened and imposed a security cordon to resolve the conflict.

On the other hand, SOHR activists documented the death of a civilian from Barsham village in tribal clashes, that erupted due to a revenge case between Al-Afif family and Al-Homs family of Al-Bakir tribe in Barsham village in the northern Deir Ezzor countryside.
