Arbitrary arrests | Military and civil police arrest four civilians, including woman, in Afrin on various charges

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that a joint Turkish military police and intelligence patrol arrested a woman and her son from Ruta village in Maabatli district for unknown charges on March 17.

On March 16, a civil police patrol arrested a man from Shikhotka in Maabatli district at his place of work in Afrin for “Performing military service during the former Autonomous-Administration control over Afrin,”in order to collect a ransom.

On March 13, members of military police patrol arrested a civilian from Bulbul district for “going out in guard shifts during Autonomous-Administration’s control over Afrin city. The man was taken to the notorious prison Maaratah.

On March 17, SOHR sources reported that a patrol of civil police arrested a member of the “Kurdish National Council” (ENKS) from Yalanqouz village in Jendires district for unknown reasons.
