Old Ordnance | Three children injured in Hama and Al-Raqqah countryside

SOHR activists have documented the injury of three children due to the explosion of an old landmine in the countryside of Al-Raqqah and Hama.

In Al-Raqqah, two children were injured in an old landmine explosion in Al-Hura village, south of Al-Tabqah, while herding sheep in areas controlled by SDF.

A 10-year-old boy was also injured by an explosion of an unexploded remnant in Arshouneh village in eastern Hama countryside. The child was taken to Salamiyah national hospital for treatment.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 58 civilians, including two women and 27 children, due to explosions of landmines and unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 73 civilians, including three women and 49 children, sustained various injuries in the same period.
