Ongoing violations | National Army factions continue to steal properties of displaced people in Afrin

Aleppo province: Turkey-backed factions in Afrin continue their severe violations by illegally logging the olive trees systematically in the villages and suburbs of Muammar as well as Afrin to gain profits.

In this context, SOHR activists have reported that members of Al-Sham Corps, which is close to the Turkish intelligence, have cut down more than 50 olive trees in the vicinity of Kabashin village in Shirawa district to establish a military post in the village.

Meanwhile, a leader of Al-Sultan Murad faction has sold agricultural land of forest and olive trees in Dirswan village in Sharan district to sell them as fire logs. As well, nearly 650 forest trees have been cut down, to be sold as fire logs.
In Ruta village in Maabatli district, Al-Jabha Al-Shamyah faction continues to cut down forest trees, eliminate the remaining woodland in Ruta village and transport firewood to Afrin markets for sale as fire logs.
