Deir Ezzor | SDF impose curfew over kidnapping of two SDF members by gunmen

Yesterday evening, unidentified gunmen attacked a checkpoint at Al-Safafneh water station in Al-Soussah region in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. Following this attack, Hajin Military Council forces operating under the banner of SDF deployed in Al-Safafneh and Al-Arqoub areas in Al-Soussah town and imposed a curfew, SOHR activists reported.

These developments come amid confirmed reports that negotiations were held between Hajin Military Council and the hijackers for the release of the two members.

Meanwhile, members of Hajin Military Council patrols arrested a woman and a man.

On March 26, SOHR activists reported that members of Hajin Military Council patrols operating under the banner of “SDF” had arrested a number of civilians in Drang town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and burned down homes and property of civilians.
