Al-Hasakah | Clashes in Al-Hawl Camp while Security forces arrest suicidal terrorist before blowing himself up

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that security forces have sieged the 5th section of Al-Hawl camp in Al-Hasakah countryside, and arrested a terrorist trying to blow himself up, meanwhile clashes between armed men in the 5th and 4th section of Al-Hawl camp took place.

On March 25, SOHR activists documented the death of a girl affected by the injuries she sustained in a fire in her tent in Al-Hawl camp in Al-Hasakah countryside. It is worth noting that a child died and three others sustained various injuries at that time.

While on March 18, SOHR activists documented the death of a child and injury of three civilians in a fire that broke out in Al-Hawl camp in eastern Al-Hasakah. According to SOHR sources, the fire broke out in the tent of an ISIS family. However, the reasons behind the fire remained unknown. Meanwhile, the injured people were transported to the hospital to receive proper medication.

This was the third fire in the camp since the beginning of March.

While on March 11, SOHR activists documented the death of a woman and injury of her daughter and another woman, as a result of a fire breaking out in ISIS’ families section in Al-Hawl camp eastern of Al-Hasakah, however it wasn’t mentioned whether if the fire was natural or arson.

While on March 6, SOHR activists reported that a fire erupted in a tent in the fifth section of the female Syrian refugees in Al-Hawl camp in the eastern countryside of Al-Hasakah. The tent belongs to a woman working with organisations operating in the camp. The fire extended to other tents, devouring four. However, no casualties were reported.
SOHR sources confirmed that the reasons behind the fire remained unknown, but security sources said that ISIS families had deliberately set fire to the woman’s tent to kill her.
