Two Iranian nuclear scientists have recently arrived for research in phosphate fields area controlled by Iranian-backed militias south of Palmyra, Reliable sources told SOHR.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the two Iranian scientists move between Al-Sawwanah site and another site known as “Al-Kimawi Battalion” in the eastern Palmyra mountain range, in the eastern Homs desert through basements dug into the ground.

It is worth noting that Al-Sawwanah site, which resembles an “Iranian protectorate,” is fully fortified and banned from approaching. Near the location, there is a nature reserve that banned also livestock to approach. While “Al-Kimawi Battalion” hosts underground shelters and tunnels that facilitate the underground movement

On January 3, reliable sources informed SOHR that, Iranian proxies transported sophisticated weapons to “Al-Kimawi Battalion” located in the eastern Palmyra mountain range, in the east of Homs desert, near “Sawana” mountainous area, more than 60 km far from south of Palmyra, in the past hours.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the transported weapons included Iranian-made medium and long-range missiles, while the position where the weapons were transferred is fully fortified and is banned from approaching. Near the location, there is a nature reserve that banned also livestock to approach. “Al-Kimawi Battalion” hosts underground shelters and tunnels that facilitate the underground movement and Iranian military experts.

Reliable sources added that these weapons were transferred from Iranian proxies’ warehouses sitting on a very high mountain, “Jabal Muhammad Ibn Ali,” overlooking Palmyra city.
