Death toll update | Regime rocket fire kills four children en route to school in Idlib countryside

The death toll of regime rocket attack on Maarat Al-Na’asan in the northern Idlib countryside has risen to four children who were killed while they were on their way to schools, SOHR activists reported.

SOHR activists have just documented the death of at least three students and the injury of others in a rocket attack carried out by regime forces on Maarat Al-Naasan, north Idlib countryside.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the three students, who are under the age of 18, were on their way to their schools when regime rockets hit the area.

Meanwhile, Russian fighter jets continue to fly over the “de-escalation” zone, targeting the vicinity of Fulayfel and Tel Sfuhn areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib countryside with seven airstrikes so far.

It is worth noting that this is the first aerial bombardment by Russian warplanes in the “de-escalation zone” in April 2022.
