Aleppo | Clashes erupt between displaced people from Homs and Liwaa Al-Shamal militiamen in Jarablus city over video footage

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that clashes with light weapons have erupted between the displaced people of Homs and Liwaa Ah-Shamal gunmen in Jarablus city in the eastern countryside of Aleppo in the early hours of Thursday morning. No casualties have been reported.

According to Syrian Observatory activists, these clashes have erupted over video footage posted to social media showed a child of a member of Liwaa Al-Shamal faction operating under the banner of Turkish National Army assaulting a displaced child from Homs.

Yesterday, SOHR documented the killing of seven people, including a faction commander from Tel Rifaat city, in an attack on “Al-Jabha Al-Shamyyiah” checkpoint in Sju border area with Turkey, north of Aleppo.

It is worth noting that this attack is the most violent of its kind in the region since the beginning of 2022.
