New assassination | Regime soldier killed in east Daraa countryside

Daraa province: SOHR activists have documented a new assassination committed in the eastern countryside of Daraa, where a regime soldier was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Al-Jiza- Al-Kahil road, east of Daraa. This assassination comes in light of the ongoing security vacuum in Daraa province.

Since early 2022, the number of attacks in Daraa province has risen to 123, which left 102 people dead; and they are as follows:

• 53 civilians, including a woman and two children.

• 35 regime military personnel and “collaborators” with security services.

• Six individuals with settled-status.

• An ex-ISIS member.

• Five unidentified people.

• A Russian-backed militiaman.
