Assassination in SDF areas | Member of Council killed in town in Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen have targeted a car carrying a member of Karifaty Council in Sulaiman Sare village in SDF-held areas in Al-Hasakah countryside, killing him. The reasons behind the attack remain unknown.

This comes in light of the increasing ISIS activity in SDF-held areas.
Accordingly, SOHR has documented 52 attacks carried out by ISIS cells since the beginning of 2022, excluding Ghuwayran prison attack and including armed attacks and explosions, leaving 36 deaths: 14 civilians, 22 members of SDF, Asayish and the Self-Defence Forces.
