Al-Suwaidaa | Retired colonel of regime airforce dies of wounds sustained in attack by unidentified gunmen

SOHR activists have reported the death of a “retired” colonel of regime airforce succumbed to wounds he sustained in an attack by unidentified gunmen on Friday, on Mardak-Shahba road in Al-Suwaidaa province, south of Syria.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the retired pilot, who is from Shaqa village in Shahba district in Al-Suwaidaa, was shot in the head yesterday, then he died of his injuries at Al-Suwaidaa national hospital.

This attack came in light of the rampant chaos and security vacuum that prevails across Syria.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that a colonel of the regime forces was shot in the head and was taken to Al-Watani (National) Hospital to receive proper medication, where he was found in an area between Mirdak and Shahba villages on the side of the road, without additional information about the incidence.
