Cease-fire violation | Regime forces shell areas in Idlib countryside amid fights by Russian reconnaissance aircraft

SOHR activists in “Putin-Erdogan” area have reported a rocket attack by regime forces on areas in Maarat Al-Naasan town in the northern Idlib countryside and other areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern Idlib countryside. No casualties have been reported.

This rocket attack coincides with the flying of Russian reconnaissance aircraft over Idlib countryside.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that eight airstrikes were carried out by Russian fighter jets on the “de-escalation” zone, as Russian fighter jets targeted Al-Fitrah and Fulayfel areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern Idlib countryside, near Turkish forces positions in the southern Idlib countryside.

It is worth noting that this is the second aerial bombardment by Russian fighter jets in the “de-escalation zone” in April 2022.

On April 4, Russian fighter jets executed two airstrikes on Fulayfel town in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib countryside.
