Old ordnance | Landmine explosion kills civilian in eastern Homs countryside

Homs province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a well-digging worker, due to the explosion of an old landmine in Bayarat Palmyra area in the eastern Homs countryside.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 82 civilians, including four women and 34 children, due to explosions of landmines and unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 95 civilians, including seven women and 56 children, sustained various injuries in the same period, in addition to the death of a man and his son under the rubbles of a building in Dariyah in Rif Dimashq.
