Armed house robbery | Woman in her forties killed in Al-Raqqa

A woman in her forties was killed yesterday in Al-Raqqa city, which is controlled by SDF.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the woman known initially as “N.S.” was strangled to death after money and jewelry were stolen from her house, in Al-Nour St. in the city.

According to her neighbours and primary investigations, a woman and a man broke into the house and strangled the victim. Meanwhile, the investigations are still ongoing until the criminals are exposed.

This comes in light of a marked surge in crime rates across Syria.

Yesterday, Al-Jawadiyah district in rural Al-Qamishli witnessed a horrific murder, when a 20-year-old pregnant woman was severely beaten to death by her husband over a family dispute, on Monday evening.
On April 4, SOHR activists in areas controlled by Autonomous Administration in North and North-East Syria reported that a woman was stabbed to death with a knife by unknown men in Cornice neighbourhood in Al-Qamishli city.
