Counter-attack | Regime forces shell frontline areas with jihadist groups in Sahl Al-Ghab

SOHR activists have reported that regime forces have targeted the frontlines of Al-Sarmaniyah and Qalideen areas, which are controlled by jihadist groups and factions in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-western Hama countryside with rocket fires and heavy machine guns t in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Moreover, regime forces have shelled areas in Fulayfel and Bayanin in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in south Idlib countryside. However, no casualties have been reported.

Regime shelling comes hours after an infiltration and suicide bombing carried out by a jihadist group member at a regime forces position in Sahl Al-Ghab.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that a jihadist of “Ansar Al-Islam” faction attacked a regime position on Al-Sirmaniyah frontline in Sahl Al-Ghab area in the north-western Hama countryside, where the jihadist bombed himself inside the site. However, no casualties were reported.
