Ongoing security chaos | IED explodes in Daraa city

A medium explosion has been heard in Daraa Al-Mahatah due to the explosion of an IED planted in the corner of Al-Sabeel neighbourhood in Daraa city, causing material damage only.

This explosion comes in light of ongoing chaos and insecurity in different areas across Daraa, south Syria.

Since early 2022, the number of attacks in Daraa province has risen to 142, which left 117 people dead; and they are as follows:

• 64 civilians, including a woman and four children.
• 39 regime military personnel and “collaborators” with security services.
• Seven former fighters with settled-status.
• An ex-ISIS member.
• Five unidentified people.
• A Russian-backed militiaman.
