Old ordnance | Civilian killed in landmine explosion in his car in Sallamiyah city

SOHR activists have documented the death of a civilian from Al-Rahjan area in the eastern countryside of Hama over the explosion of an old landmine in his car nearby Abu Laffah village, to the north of Al-Hajan, in northern Al-Rahjan in Sallamiyah countryside. The body was transported to Sallamiyah national hospital.

 

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 87 civilians, including four women and 34 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 98 civilians, including seven women and 56 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll there are a man and his son killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq.
