Fifth assault in 48 hours | Masked persons set fire to two offices of Kurdish National Council in Ain Al-Arab “Kobani”

SOHR activists have reported that masked persons, believed to belong to “Al-Shabibah Al-Thawriyah”, have raided two offices of the Kurdish National Council “Inkasi” in Ain Al-Arab “Kobani”, where they threw dozens of Molotov bottles, setting fire and causing huge damage.

It is worth noting that the number of assaults on civilian and party headquarters has risen to five in less than 48 hours.

Yesterday, masked men, believed to be members of “Al-Shabiba Al-Thawriyah” (the Revolutionary Youth), stormed, the office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Al-Kalasah neighbourhood in Al-Hasakah city. The attackers forced the party’s members out of the office, spilled petrol on the office’s furniture and set fire to the furniture, before they escaped.

Reliable source informed SOHR that an armed group affiliated to “Al-Shabiba Al-Thawriyah” (the Revolutionary Youth) unlocked the office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Al-Darbasiyyah city, on the Syria-Turkey border, in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The attackers threw Molotov cocktails inside the office, attempting to burn it down. Neighbours noticed the fire and broke it down before it devoured the office’s contents.

On the other hand, “Al-Shabiba Al-Thawriyah” burned down another office of the Kurdish National Council (ENKS) in Al-Malikiyah city (Dayrik) in Al-Hasakah countryside, after removing the door and throwing Molotov cocktails inside the office.
