Russia steps up bombardment l Six Russian jets hit ISIS hideouts in Syrian desert

Since the early morning hours of Thursday, six Russian fighter jets have been consequently bombarding ISIS hideouts and hotbeds, starting from Al-Sokhnah desert in the eastern countryside of Homs, passing through Al-Rusafah desert, south-east of Al-Raqqah, reaching Deir Ezzor desert.

These consecutive attacks on ISIS hideouts are the first escalation of bombardment by Russian fighter jets in April.

On Wednesday, Russian fighter jets carried out nearly 20 airstrikes on different areas in the Syrian desert.

Accordingly, the number of airstrikes carried out by Russian fighter jets on ISIS hideouts in the Syrian desert since early April 2022, has risen to 390.
