ISIS escalates attacks | Two Asayish members killed in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have documented the killing of two members of Internal Security Forces “Asayish” after being shot dead by gunmen, believed to be ISIS members, in Al-Shahabat village in Deir Ezzor countryside.

Moreover, gunmen, believed to be ISIS fighters, have thrown a grenade at the house of a man, who works in Deir Ezzor council, in Abu Hamam town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, causing material damage only.

Since early 2022, SOHR has documented 69 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 51 persons dead: 18 civilians and 33 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces, and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
