ISIS resurgence | Three regime soldiers shot dead in Al-Bishri desert at administrative borders between Deir Ezzor and Al-Raqqah

SOHR activists have documented the death of three regime soldiers, where they were shot dead by ISIS cells during the ongoing clashes in Al-Bishri desert at the administrative borders between Deir Ezzor and Al-Raqqa, raising the number of regime soldiers and their loyal militias killed to five during the last 12 hours. They were killed by ISIS cells in Deir Ezzor and Al-Raqqa deserts.

Earlier today, Syrian Observatory sources reported that two regime soldiers and militiamen were killed, and ten others wounded in an attack carried out by ISIS cells on positions of the “17th Division” of regime army and “Al-Qatarji” militia in the vicinity of Al-Kharatah oil field in western Deir Ezzor desert.
This attack coincided with violent clashes between ISIS members and the regime forces in Ghanem Al-Ali desert in eastern Al-Raqqah contryside.
According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2022 has increased to 182; and they are as follows:
• 95 ISIS members were killed in Russian airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in the deserts of Homs, Al-Suwaidaa, Hama, Al-Raqqah, Deir Ezzor, and Aleppo.
• 87 soldiers of regime forces and their proxy militias were killed in 31 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in western Euphrates and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs, Al-Suwaidaa, Hama and Aleppo.
