Ongoing violations | Turkish-backed National Army militiamen arrest civilian and severely beat man in Afrin

SOHR activists have reported that members and a leader of “Liwaa Al-Shamal” faction have severely beaten a civilian from Afrin city for “obstructing traffic” as the leader passed through the city and seized his car.

On April 21, a military police patrol arrested a resident from Karzihil village in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside while he was returning to his village from Burj Al-Qasas village to which he had been displaced four years earlier during the Turkish military campaign in Afrin for unknown charges.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that members of a military police patrol arbitrarily arrested three civilians from Dikkah village in Bulbul district, where they were taken to a prison in Bulbul district, without any charge.
