Frequent flights | Coalition aircraft fly over 55-kilometre zone hosting US base at Jordan-Syria-Iraq border triangle

SOHR activists have reported seeing frequent flights by International Coalition aircraft in the airspace of 55-kilometre zone, over Al-Tanaf area, which houses a military base of US forces at Syria’s eastern border with Jordan and Iraq, from Saturday midnight until the early morning hours of Sunday morning, amid reports about a military delegation’s visit to the military base.

On April 21, SOHR activists reported that “International Coalition” helicopters landed in Al-Tanf base near the Jordanian-Iraqi-Syrian border, where they set off from Al-Da’am base in Jordanian territory in 22nd tower and landed in Al-Tanf base, before returning to 22nd tower in Jordan. The reasons remained unknown.
