SOHR activists have documented the death of a civilian and the injury of others in a landmine explosion in a car carrying a number of civilians near a 55-kilometre zone in the Syrian desert on the eastern border with Jordan and Iraq. The injured people and the victim have been transported to a dispensary in Al-Tanaf district.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 93 civilians, including four women and 38 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 105 civilians, including seven women and 62 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, there are a man and his son killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq.
