Following clashes and arrests | Protests against “Al-Asayesh” violations in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have monitored clashes with machineguns between a civilian and members of Al-Mokassam checkpoint of “Al-Asayesh” in Mohamaida town western of Deir Ezzor after the civilian rejected to be inspected, where the checkpoint members opened fire randomly and arrested the civilian.

On the same context, dozens of the town’s residents gathered to protest against the assault of the checkpoint’s members, took over SDF headquarters and detained the members, however they were later released by tribe dignitaries and heads of the Deir Ezzor Military Council, after they got promises of releasing the civilian and put an end to violations against the residents.

Moreover, SDF brought reinforcements to the area.
