Syrian desert | ISIS members attack regime positions in eastern Deir Ezzor desert, while Russian jets hit ISIS hideouts in Al-Raqqah desert

On Tuesday morning, eight regime soldiers have been injured in an attack waged by ISIS members targeting positions of regime forces and their proxies in Al-Hamra area in Al- Quriyah town desert, east of Deir Ezzor. While Russian fighter jets have executed nearly six airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in Al-Rusafah desert in Al-Raqqah countryside.

Yesterday, Russian fighter jets carried out nearly 25 airstrikes on ISIS hideouts and hotbeds in Aleppo-Hama-Al-Raqqah triangle, Maadan and Al-Rusafah deserts in Al-Raqqah province, and the eastern Homs desert.

According to SOHR statistics, the death toll of military operations in the Syrian desert since January 2022 is 195; and they are:

 

  • 104 ISIS members were killed in Russian airstrikes on areas in Homs desert, Al-Suwaydaa, Hama, Al-Raqqah, Deir Ezzor and Aleppo.

 

  • 91 regime forces and militias loyal to them were killed in 35 ISIS attacks, ambushes, and bombings in western Euphrates, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs, Al-Suwaydaa, Hama, and Aleppo.
