Putin-Erdogan area | Turkish “guarantor” forces switch their troop

SOHR activists in Putin-Erdogan area have reported that since the early hours of Saturday morning, Turkish forces have made a switch of troops in areas held by HTS and factions in Idlib province.

A convoy of 17 military vehicles, including three tanks, have exited from positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah towards Turkish territory through Khirbet Al-Jawz crossing in the western Idlib countryside, while another convoy of 14 vehicles, including one tank and nearly 50 soldiers, have entered instead and headed towards Turkish military posts in Idlib countryside.

It is worth noting that Turkish forces are evacuating their troops from the internal positions in the “de-escalation” zone, such as positions in Ihsam town and the outskirts of the International Highway M4, and moving their troops to frontlines area with regime forces and the backlines in the eastern countryside of Idlib.

On April 8, SOHR activists reported seeing a large Turkish military column, comprising nearly 41 tanks, tracked personnel carriers and rocket launchers, crossing into Syrian this morning in two batches. The new column headed to the Turkish base in Al-Tala’e camp in Al-Mastoumah in southern Idlib in order to be distributed later to posts in the “de-escalation zone” in north and east Aleppo.
