For ransom | “Military Police” release a civilian in Afrin

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that the “Military Police” in Afrin released a civilian from Kakhera village in Ma’batly district on May 5, for 2,000 USDs ransom. The civilian was arrested on May 1, while he was heading towards A’zaz city in the northern Aleppo countryside.

On May 5, SOHR activists reported that Ahrar Al-Sham members assaulted and severely beat two brothers for “intercepting the faction members.”
The civilians hail from Kafr Safra village in Jinderes district western of Afrin, where Ahrar Al-Sham members shot one of them injuring him in his leg and he was transported to the hospital to receive proper medication.
According to reliable SOHR sources, the two civilians intercepted gunmen of Ahrar Al-Sham faction before being assaulted, where the members were felling trees and crossing a shortcut through agricultural lands that belong to the two civilians.
Regarding violations against Afrin residents, Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah faction that controls Kafr Janna village in Shiran district released a civilian from the village for 5,000 Turkish Liras. The civilian had been arrested while heading towards A’zaz city on March 3.
