Security chaos | Gunmen kidnap engineer from town in Al-Suwaidaa countryside

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored a new kidnap in Al-Suwaidaa province, south of Syria.

Unidentified gunmen have kidnapped an engineer from the post office in Atil town in the northern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa, where an unknown armed group stormed the post office and took him to an unknown destination.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that an armed group of the regime’s “Military Intelligence Branch” from Al-Suwaidaa province in southern of Syria, detained 20 civilians from Daraa and Bedouin tribes near Atil town northern of Al-Suwaidaa, where they were arrested after the vehicle of one of AL-Suwaidaa dignitaries from Daraa countryside was stolen, where some tribesmen burnt tyres and cut roads in Al-Makos neighbourhood in the centre of Al-Suwaidaa. This coincided with the deployment of several gunmen on the roads presenting their rejection of putting the civilians in such conditions.

Daraa and Al-Suwaidaa provinces in the Syrian south had witnessed security tension and kidnap cases between local gunmen from both provinces.
