Disputes over smuggling | Unidentified gunmen attempt to assassinate member of Turkish-backed factions in Ras Al-Ain

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have documented the injury of a member of Shuhadaa Al-Badr faction, which belongs to the Turkish-backed “National Army”, where he was directly shot by unidentified gunmen in Ras Al-Ain countryside, where the victim was worked in smuggling humans between the “Peace Spring” area and SDF-held areas and then to Turkey.
On April 13, SOHR activists documented the death of a member of Al-Hamza Division from Homs city in infighting between armed groups of the same faction.
Moreover, a member was severely injured in the same infighting in Tel Orkom western of Ras Al-Ain “Sere Kanye” in the north western countryside of Al-Hasakah in “Peace Spring” areas, following disputes over human smuggling from SDF-held areas to Turkey escalating to clashes in Tel Orkom village and Tel Halaf, where members of the victim’s group attacked the bases of the other group.
This came in light of security tension in the region and military reinforcements by both groups.
On the other hand, clashes among the same faction erupted in Ras Al-Ain after an armed group raided the house of a civilian who is related to a commander of Al-Hamza Division. However, no casualties were reported.

Reliable sources informed SOHR that three members of “Shohadaa Badr” Brigade and two members of “Shohadaa Al-Hasakah” faction were wounded during clashes between the two factions that erupted in villages in the countryside of Ras Al-Ain/Sere Kaniye in areas controlled by Turkish forces and “National Army” factions in in “Peace Spring” area.
