After deporting residents | Regime government look to invest agricultural corps in towns and villgaes of Hama and Idlib

The General Secretariat of Idlib, which is affiliated to the regime, announced the starting of licensing investment centres for 4 types of agricultural products which are: pistachio nuts, olives, figs and almonds in Khan Shaikhon, Al-Taman’a, and Ma’rat al-Ne’man regions.

According to the announcement, the General Secretariat of Idlib Governorate established 48 centres divided according to the type of agricultural product, where five centres for each category were established in Khan Shaikhon, and other five centres for each category in Al-Taman’a district as well, while in Ma’rat al-Ne’man two centres for each category were established.

Moreover, The General Secretariat of Idlib Governorate indicated that the registration for these categories is currently located in the centre of Idlib Governorate in Khan Shaikhon.

On the same context, the Ministry of Local Administration and the Agriculture Ministry suggested to invest in lands of pistachio nuts in dozens of villages in the northern and eastern Hama countryside, and demanded those intending to invest to register through committees in Mahrada and Soran towns.

It is worth noting that areas included in the investment will be over 25 towns and villages including: Latmin, Al-Latamna, Kafr Zaita, Morik, Lahaya, Taibat Al-Imam, Ma’ardis, Soran, Kawkab, Al-Sha’atha, Al-Fan Al-Shamali, Khafsin, Al-Jenena Al-Gharbiyeh, Taibat Al-Asm, Ma’an, Qasr Al-Makhram, Qasr Abu Samra, Al-Talisiyah, Al-Kabariyah, Um Hartin, Qubaibat, Karah and Atshan.

After regime forces had looted the contents of the houses of displaced people, the Syrian regime’s government issued a new decision offering thousands of dunams of agriculture land belonging to displaced people from the southern and eastern countryside of Idlib for investment at auctions.

According to SOHR sources, the auctions continues from September 19 to September 26, in which farmlands are offered for investment in tens of towns and villages, including Ma’saran, Sinjar, Jarjanaz, Tel Mannas, Tel Dabas, Tel Tuqan, Barisa, Kafr Amim and Khan al-Sabil. The total area of these farmlands, which are located in north Hama countryside and the southern and eastern countryside of Idlib, approximates 420,000 dunams.
