Ongoing protests | People protest dire living conditions outside “local council” in town west of Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Syrian Observatory activists have reported seeing a protest staged by residents in front of the “Local Council” in Al-Kasrah town in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, which is under the control of SDF, where the people protest against the poor living conditions, demanding to dismiss those responsible for distributing bread in the town.

On April 12, Syrian Observatory activists reported seeing a demonstration in Hawi Al-Hussan town in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor due to worsening living conditions and the high prices of basic commodities and fuel.

The protestors called on Autonomous Administration in north and east Syria to fulfil their demands and provide essential goods and commodities. The protestors also cut the roads with burned tyres.

On April 4, SOHR activists monitored protests by residents of Mohaimida town in the western Deir Ezzor countryside, demanding improving the quality of bread and providing fodder at reasonable prices, in light of harsh living conditions, where the protestors blocked the road in the town with burning tyres, as a way to express their anger.
