Military escalation | Rocket fire hits Turkish bases in Aleppo countryside and Turkish forces react by shelling regime and Kurdish forces positions

SOHR sources have reported that several rocket fires have rained down on Turkish forces bases in Hazwan and the vicinity of Marea city, north of Aleppo in addition to several rockets struck at the foot of Jabal Aqeel, which is a Turkish base, and some residential neighbourhoods in Al-Bab city, east of Aleppo.

These shellings are fired from regime and Kurdish forces north of Aleppo, amid reports that Turkish soldiers have been injured.

Meanwhile, Turkish bases have waged a counterattack in the vicinity of a Syrian regime checkpoint in Al-Sha’ala village in the northern countryside of Aleppo and Kurdish forces positions on the outposts extending from Al-Bab city, east of Aleppo, to Marea city in the west. However, no casualties have been reported.

This morning, SOHR activists reported a rocket attack carried out by Turkish forces on villages and towns of Kafr Anton, Al-Ziyarah, Maranaz, Kashtar, Tatamarash, Tel Qarah, Umm Al-Qurah, Qarmel, Tel Madiq, Al-Wardiyah and Hassiyah in the northern countryside of Aleppo, where regime and Kurdish forces are deployed. No casualties were reported.

Meanwhile, regime forces stationed on the outskirts of Nubl town shelled the villages of Kafr Jinah and Mashalah in Sharan district in Afrin countryside.
