Uncertainty surrounds the death of Turkish-backed militiaman in Afrin countryside

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that a militiaman of Al-Majd Corps was found dead with a gunshot wound in the head and marks of torture on his body and dumped by a road in Mamily village in Raju district in Afrin countryside in north-western Aleppo, which is under the control of factions of “Olive Branch” operations room. However, the identities of perpetrators and circumstances of the murder remain unknown.

 

In April, SOHR documented the death of three civilians in areas under the control of Turkish forces and factions operating under the banner of “Olive Branch” operation room in the north-western countryside of Aleppo; and they are as follows:

 

  • Unidentified young man was shot dead in Afrin, in the northern countryside of Aleppo, where he was found dead with marks of torture on his body.

 

  • An elderly man died of wounds he sustained in clashes between Al-Hamza Division and Al-Sham Corps in Bulbul district in Afrin countryside on April 7.

 

  • A young man died of injuries sustained in family fighting in Qatma village in Sharan district in Afrin countryside.
