Military escalation | Turkish forces and their proxies shell five villages in Kurdish-held areas in Aleppo

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish forces and their proxies have fired heavy artillery shells on five villages holding Kurdish and regime forces, where over 15 shells hit Soghanka, Mayasa and Zana’it villages in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside. However, the extent of damage hasn’t been reported yet.

Moreover, Turkish forces and their proxies fired dozens of shells on Kafr Antwan and the vicinity of Mathana Faisal in Tanb village in Shiran district, causing material damages.

SOHR activists reported a rocket attack carried out by Turkish forces on villages and towns of Kafr Anton, Al-Ziyarah, Maranaz, Kashtar, Tatamarash, Tel Qarah, Umm Al-Qurah, Qarmel, Tel Madiq, Al-Wardiyah and Hassiyah in the northern countryside of Aleppo, where regime and Kurdish forces are deployed. No casualties were reported.

Meanwhile, regime forces stationed on the outskirts of Nubl town shelled the villages of Kafr Jinah and Mashalah in Sharan district in Afrin countryside.

SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces shelled Samoka and Um Al-Kora villages in areas holding Kurdish and regime forces in northern Aleppo countryside.
