​​​​​​​SOHR: ​​​​​​​Gunmen assassinate a member of Damascus forces in eastern countryside of Dara’a

In continuation of security chaos in the city of Dara'a, which is subject to so-called "Settlements" of Damascus government, a member in Damascus government forces was killed today by unidentified gunmen in Jasem city in eastern countryside of Dara'a.

Unidentified gunmen shot dead a member in Damascus government forces, from the countryside of Qunaytra and living in the town of Al-Musayfra, in the city of Jasem in eastern countryside of Dara’a, which led to his death, according to Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Thus, the outcome of the targeting in Dara’a since the beginning of January, according to documentation of Syrian Observatory, has reached 204, all of which took place in different ways and methods, and caused the death of 158 people: 78 civilians, including 2 women and 4 children, and 62 soldiers affiliated with Damascus government and collaborators with the security services and elements of so-called “Settlements”, 10 former fighters who made so-called “Settlements” and did not join any military party after that, and a former mercenary of ISIS, 6 unidentified people and an element of pro-Russian militants.

Dara’a has witnessed security tensions, chaos and almost daily assassinations since Damascus government conducted so-called “Settlement and reconciliation” process in the city, as the first one was conducted after 2018 and the second was during 2021.
