Fourth murder in May | Displaced Syrian woman found dead in Al-Hawl camp

SOHR sources have reported a new murder in “Al-Hawl mini-state” in the far southern-eastern region of Al-Hasakah countryside. According to SOHR sources, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) found the body of a woman with gunshot wounds in the camp’s sewage, amid reports of involvement of ISIS affiliates in this murder.

It is worth noting that this is the fourth murder in Al-Hal camp in May.

This comes in light of the escalating ISIS cells’ activity in the camp, despite the security campaigns by security and military forces.

On May 17, Observatory activists reported that Al-Hawl camp, which houses ISIS families and members, witnessed a new assassination, as the body of a displaced Syrian woman was found with gunshot wounds in the fifth section of the camp.

While on May 14, reliable sources informed SOHR that a new murder was committed in Al-Hawl camp when an unidentified woman was killed. Internal Security Forces found a woman’s body in the third section of the camp. According to reliable sources, the assassination was carried out by ISIS fighters, who shot dead the woman inside the camp and dumped her body inside the “sewage.”

Also, on May 2, SOHR activists reported that the security forces, Asayish, had found the body of an Iraqi refugee who had been shot dead by ISIS fighters in the first section of Al-Hawl camp, in the eastern countryside of Al-Hasakah.
