SOHR | “Reports by Turkish Ministry of Defence about fatalities among SDF and military formation operating in NE Syria in attacks by Turkish forces untrue”

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that reports circulating by Turkish Ministry of Defence about fatalities among Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) and military formation operating in north-east Syria region in attacks by Turkish forces in the past few hours are completely untrue. Meanwhile, SDF have not launched any attacks on areas under the control of factions of “Peace Spring” operations room.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces stationed in “Peace Spring” areas fired artillery shells on Al-Dirdara, Al-Qabr Al-Saghir, Qobor Al-Qarajna and Al-Shaikh Ali villages in Tel Tamr and Abu Rasin “Zarkan” towns in the north western Al-Hasakah countryside. However, no casualties were reported.

 

On May 17, SOHR sources reported that factions of the Turkish-backed “National Army” fired an artillery shell on a military post of regime forces in Al-Rebay’at village in Abu Rasin countryside (Zarkan) in the north-western countryside of Al-Hasakah. However, no casualties were reported.
