“Safe area” | “National Army” factions commit violations in Afrin

SOHR activists have reported that armed men of the Turkish-backed “National Army” factions assaulted a civilian from Walika village in Rajo district by severely beating him on May 17, after the civilian tried to prevent the faction members from cutting olive trees and herd sheep in his fields.

Moreover, a member of Al-Amshat faction in Shaikh Al-Hadid district severely beat a civilian from the district on May 13, and insulted him in front of the residents, without knowing the reasons.

Earlier today, SOHR activists reported that a Civil Police patrol arrested a civilian from Qawenda village in Rajo district in Afrin countryside after returning to his village from Aleppo, and they severely beat him to force him to admit to going out on night guard shifts during the control of Kurdish forces over Afrin city, to collect ransoms.
